Japanese transman’s son not recognise by law…….
A Japanese transman who is legally recognised as a male, had a baby with his wife using his brother’s sperms.
After the child is born and they went to get him registered, he was broke with the news that his son can only be registered as ‘illegitimate’.
This is due to their law that couple of the same gender cannot have a child, even though they can be legally recognised in their acquired gender. They are only advised to adopt. The transman is seeking an appeal.
