A female friend of mine was asking me on the method to escape rape quite some time ago and  I wrote this piece of article and posted in another blog of mine.

I thought it might be good to share with SgB members and others that is reading this blog.

I told her:
1.) never get into the situation
2.) get out of that situation
3.) get into the situation

And she was totally blurred… LoLx~

Let me further explain and hope you can see light as what she had seen…

Never Get into the Situation

Singapore is getting hotter and fashion sense is dressing up less clothing. Whichever the case is, you (woman) are asking for trouble. You are placing yourself as a “visable target” for rapist. You are creating a “signal” to draw their attention.

The above is a straight forward “force entry”. But what happen if you are mugged”?

Always be wary of strangers, especially handsome hunk that offer you drinks that you didn’t see the waiter/waitress served. Try not to go to Night Spot alone. If you really can’t find anyone to drink with you, get yourself a few Black Labels and drunk at home.

There are more then the above of not getting into a situation, but you never listen… and who’s gonna stop you from your fashion statement? So… next~

Get Out of the Situation

Of-cos, you are a hip and funky gal. You are always at the top of fashion. Its OK. Just be sure that when you are off your partying and going home:
1.) put on a overall
2.) ask someone to accompany you home
3.) ask your dad or brother to wait for you below the void deck
4.) get in bright areas
5.) always get a bunch of keys readily in your hand. 3 keys will be perfect! (details will be explain later on).

So by knowing the situation, although you have no choice but to be in that situation, you are alert to make some preparation and prevent things from happening with just a few simple steps.

I can’t list you all the possible “situation”. You just got to find some fine day, sit down and start thinking and writing down about situation that you think might be possible. Even scene on TV or Movies are also great tips to start working your brain. Once you have this possible “situation”, plan what to do to not be in that situation or, if no choice, alternate plan to get out of that situation.

Problem… Close to 70% of rape case are committed by an offender that the victim knows, be it the ex-boyfriend, a step-dad, a stayed-in uncle or your mother’s drunk “man”. In such situation(s), you are in a “comfort zone” of the possible rapist. He (the rapist) is in a extremely “comfort zone”. Things get complicated… Things happen…

The remaining case, the victim is usually over-powered by the rapist and kana hamtum if retaliate till faint and the rest is suffering in emotional pain.

Get into the Situation

Telling you not to get into situation and how to get out, now I tell you gals to Get Into The Situation! LoLx~ Be cool and listen me out~

When you are caught off guard and landed yourself into a situation, the best bet is to get further in and lure him (rapist) off-guard with wits rather then strength.

You know that most likely you can’t wrestler out from his claws. He is too strong, His mass is overwhelming and you are scared thus weakening yourself more. So the other function thing that you are able to use without strength is your brain juice. You can be frighten, no worry, but you must keep calm.

When a rapist caught you and you have no chance of escape, the first most important is not to retaliate (unless you are confident of escaping without causing more damage), for you might agitate him and return he hitting you, causing hurt and pain to you, making you more vulnerable.

Instead, “act” as a willing party. Seduce him. Let him think that you want to have a great time with him. This will cause a instant confusion to him. He may drop his guard and you seek the opportunity to escape. If he don’t, you can continue to seduce him and request that you go to a hotel or your home “upstairs”. Making whatever excuse to reduce his “hungry” to rape you, but grow his appetite to engage pleasure with you. This is to ensure that you mean him no harm and it will reduce the chance of him hurting you.

You can then lead him to ‘no-where” and find your chance to escape. Leading him to a crowded place is the best. Bringing him “home” and knock on unknown doors screaming “Help! Help!” would be clever.

The important key is to drop his guard and take this to your advantage. For you can swing your big hand bag at him. Look for your keys (here’s your weapon) and use them as a scratching or poking tools against him (it hurts!).

If the rapist is someone you know and you are in the comfort zone… you got to go further then just seducing him. You got to let him take you… with his pants half way down!

Yes~ if anyone wants to rape you, he has to take his pants off. He got to take it off by having his legs off the ground, one by one, or both at the same time. Whichever the case, he will be at his weakest balance mode. The best time to “offset” his balance is when his pants is half-way down right after the knee. That is the position that his legs is in a 99.99% restriction to run around. He will try to catch you, which he will definitely FALL!

Just to let you know – Under Singapore Legislation, the rights of private defence against rape extends to causing death of the rapist. Meaning, if you kill your rapist “accidentally”, you are not liable for his death.
