Locking topics

Post by nicol3 » Thu 26 Jan 2012, 8:01 pm

Hello. Just a suggestion, maybe mods can post a link to the relevant thread instead of locking the OTed thread?

Locking threads will make this forum pretty dead.

Suggestion noted! But dead forum would be better than a messy forum with junks of irrelevant discussion with respect to the topic, which is the main cause of thread being locked.

Nonetheless, if member do not cross post or off-topic discussion, locking will not be practice at all...

Or maybe you can practice merging posts? Like shifting posts to relevant thread?

Why would a mod want a dead forum?

Just another thing I'd like to comment about =)

Sometimes it's not the thread-starter that goes off topic...
I think I'd be very sad if my thread gets lock because the other forumers are the ones going off topic~

and I had been practicing it for the past 6 years... sometimes it just too tiring that member DON'T LISTEN!!!

So the next best (and easiest way)... Lock It.

True, who wants a dead forum ... but I definitely don't want a messy forum.

This is a information portal. The aim has and will always be providing information shared by transgender community.

When it become a chity-chaty thingy ... its no longer "info" but "junks".
Mind you, I screen through every single thread whenever possible...
