A Japanese transman who is legally recognised as a male, had a baby with his wife using his brother’s sperms.

After the child is born and they went to get him registered, he was broke with the news that his son can only be registered as ‘illegitimate’.

This is due to their law that couple of the same gender cannot have a child, even though they can be legally recognised in their acquired gender. They are only advised to adopt. The transman is seeking an appeal.

16 year old Spanish boy Tim, became one of the World’s Youngest Transgender to do the sex change last year in Feb.

Under their German law, anyone who is below 18, needs approval by the judge before they can do a sex change. Teh judge gave its approval after reading through all her medical and psychiatrists record of 2 years.

He surgery was even being paid by the German Health Service.

She is now called Kim and is currently the model for a famous German hair salon chain.

The American Psychiatric Association thinks so, or is history repeating itself? The new DSM-V, the medical profession’s bible for diagnosing, is set to come out in May after delays caused by several areas of controversy. But, the APA has a legacy of uneasy relations with the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, having included homosexuality in the DSM’s list of psychiatric disorders until 1973. Some transgender activists want issues of gender identity kicked off the list of mental illnesses too.
